Artistic Profile

His works, by personal choice, deal with tonal language, ranging from Classical to New Age, from film music to song. Its production includes works that are among the most important and representative: the Concerto n. 1 for Guitar and Orchestra (2007), "Silver Light", symphonic poem for piano and orchestra (2018), the lyric "Principessa" for tenor and piano, the "Tre danze" for quartet of guitars (2018), in addition to Oratori ( "La Natività",) Masses (Mass of S. Cecilia), 2 Concerts for piano and orchestra, as well as other works for trios, string quartet, piano solo (The Fly), organ (Tu ESs Petrus) and other instruments

 

  • Former member of the Tuscan Artistic Choir Committee, he was, from 1981 to 2017, Director of the "Giacomo Puccini" Choral Society of Grosseto, from 2012 to 2013, Director of the choir of the Ass. "Filarmonica" of Civitavecchia.He won the 1st prize in the composition and music elaboration competition organized by the editions "By Bess", with the opera "La pipa di Batone" on the homonymous novel by Renato Fucini, among others, the 3rd prize at the International Competition of composition Music and Cinema "Lavagnino 2012" of Alessandria, event presided by Louis Bacalov and Nicola Piovani, the XII International Award for the merit of music city of Bari.

  • He record for the "SAM" company in Lari (Pi). Two of the last CDs as a composer: "Ciao Italia" (November 2013) where he is present with the "La Porta del Sole" Suite dedicated to the duo G. Lanzini (clarinet) - F. Montomoli (guitar), and "Mediterranea - Guitar Works" "(November 2016), a monographic CD containing all of his works for solo guitar, guitar and clarinet and the" Concerto n. 1 for guitar and orchestra "dedicated to the guitarist. Fabio Montomoli and performed by the same Montomoli together with the Regional Orchestra of Tuscany. The CD "Mediterranea" has been presented in Italy and abroad in numerous concerts, most recently at the La Leopolda Theater in Follonica on March 23rd 2018 as part of the international guitar festival "Alvaro Mantovani". Last March he collaborated with BNL for the realization of a concert in favor of Telethon at the "Teatro degli Industri in Grosseto", an event that was very successful, performing as a solo pianist and accompanist together with guitarist Fabio Montomoli, singers Simona Viganò, Luana Viciani, Federico Pistolesi, and the choir "InCantus" directed by Sandra Biagioni.

  • He teaches Piano, Harmony and Composition at the "Palmiero Giannetti" Municipal Music Institute in Grosseto and holds the chair of the piano at the secondary school of the first level with the musical direction "Leonardo da Vinci" of the Institute n. 1 "A. Manzi ".
